Topics
The seven exam topics
The test mirrors the decree exactly — the same number of questions per topic, the same scoring, the same time limit.
- 01 Rules of the road The largest section of the exam — right of way, intersections, overtaking, speed limits, stopping and parking. The real test contains 10 questions worth 2 points each: 20 of the 50 points. 449 questions 20 points
- 02 Traffic signs and signals Vertical and horizontal signs, light signals, traffic devices and police officer instructions. Three questions worth 1 point each — the section where confidence grows fastest, as it is mostly memorisation. 189 questions 3 points
- 03 Traffic situations at intersections Picture questions asking for the order of vehicles at an intersection. Only three questions, but worth 4 points each — 12 of the 50. A mistake here costs the most, and this is where most tests are failed. 155 questions 12 points
- 04 Principles of safe driving Grip, braking distance, driving in reduced visibility, fatigue, alcohol and defensive driving. Four questions worth 2 points each. 150 questions 8 points
- 05 Vehicle operating conditions Technical eligibility, mandatory equipment, inspections, dimensions and weights. Two questions worth 1 point each — the cheapest section, but the points still count. 45 questions 2 points
- 06 Regulations related to road traffic The penalty point system, driving licences, liability insurance, offences and sanctions. Two questions worth 2 points each. 85 questions 4 points
- 07 Medical preparation First aid at a traffic accident — stopping bleeding, resuscitation, shock, extracting the injured. A single question for 1 point, yet the most important one in real life. 35 questions 1 points
