Safe following distance

Meaning under the Decree

In conjunction with the corresponding road marking "Safe following distance", the sign gives information about the safe distance between moving vehicles. Two chevrons between two vehicles travelling one behind the other indicate the minimum safe distance between vehicles on that road at the maximum permitted speed under normal conditions.
