Alternative route

Meaning under the Decree

Usually on a motorway, the sign gives notice of the start of a permanently marked alternative route for the motorway and of its number. Where useful, the symbol and the relevant motorway destination may also be shown. Where a directional arrow appears on the sign, it may also be used to show the course of the alternative route at the following junction.
